Teaching & Curriculum

Since 2015, Dr. Hall has developed and taught tick-borne disease curriculum across the full educational spectrum — from elementary and middle school through high school, Governor's School, and higher education — reaching more than 1,000 students and learners. At the collegiate and graduate level, her curriculum has reached students in BS Health Promotion, Nursing, Master of Public Health, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Doctor of Health Science programs, with a module for Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine students currently in development.

Continuing Education

Dr. Hall develops and delivers continuing education and professional learning for licensed and credentialed professionals on tick-borne disease detection, prevention, management, and education. Her work has reached nurse practitioners, primary care physicians, chiropractors, and elementary health and physical education teachers. A 2025 pilot study evaluating a continuing education session for primary care providers in Southwest Virginia demonstrated measurable changes in clinical behavior at three months, including increased tick exposure screening, consideration of tick-borne diseases in differential diagnosis, patient education on tick-borne diseases, and improved knowledge related to managing patients with alpha-gal syndrome.
