Live Well with Alpha-gal Syndrome

In Dr. Hall’s upcoming book, she will take readers on a journey of navigating life with alpha-gal syndrome and explore the often-overlooked emotional, social, and mental health impacts of AGS through the voices of those who live with it every day. Alpha-gal syndrome is a potentially life-threatening tick-borne allergy that reshapes a person’s daily life, nutrition, relationships, and overall well-being.

Drawing on thousands of lived experience testimonials and stories shared through research, outreach, and personal conversations, Jenny aims to bridge the gap between lived experience, science, and public health. As an Associate Professor of Public Health and Health Sciences, a Master Certified Health Education Specialist, and an expert in tick-borne disease education, she combines research-based context with compassion, practical tools, and real-world insight. Her goal is to give voice to the experiences that aren’t always captured in clinical literature and to provide evidence-informed guidance and support for individuals, families, and communities wanting to live well with alpha-gal.

Dr. Hall presenting results from one of her lived experience studies exploring the impacts of alpha-gal syndrome on mental health and overall health-related quality of life at the 1st European Tick-borne Disease Conference in March 2025.
